SIFTACS is a mnemonic for remembering the Scientific Method
State a question — what do think about a scenario or situation?
Information gathering — do some research; has someone else asked your question before?
Form a hypothesis — it’s your educated guess; usually stated as an if/then relationship.
Test your hypothesis — create a number of scenarios that put your if/then relationship to the test.
Analyze your test results — compare your tests, assess the outcomes, determine if your tests successfully tested your hypothesis.
Conclude your findings — write your story; document what you did, what you learned.
Share your conclusion — Publish your work; share your results with your peers, your fellow scientists or the world!
The PowerPoint is scientific-method.
